“An empty chair isn’t worth that much, but put a musician in that chair, and it’s priceless!”

 

Pam Lipp’s grandfather, Fritz Schindler, emigrated from Germany as a wood working apprentice after WWI and became a harp maker for Lyon & Healy Harps in Chicago. Later, Fritz came to California and devoted his artistry to the harp repair business.

 

Pam and her husband Doug have sponsored our first chair, the harp, as the “Fritz Schindler Chair for Harp” for the 2013-14 season.

 

The Sacramento Youth Symphony offers talented youth musician’s opportunity to play high quality music led by Artistic Director Michael Neumann. Through the Musician Chair Society, you can support the musicians who turn music into magic.

Your gift will designate a musician’s chair for 12 months. You can designate a musician’s chair in your name, your family’s name or the name of a company or loved one. Joining the Chair Society allows you to express yourself through the music of the SYS.

Chair Benefits
• Recognition and naming rights as the Chair Sponsor for the instrument of your choice. (subject to availability)
• Photo of you with your sponsored chair musician

Annual Sponsorship Levels
• Conductor’s Podium $1000
• Concertmaster: $500
• All Chairs: $250 (Principal Chair an additional $50)

 

Endowment Sponsorship Levels
Chairs can be permanently endowed with an investment as little at $25,000. – Call us. 916-731-5777

A: Yes! Many friends go in together to celebrate loved ones in common or a shared experience or love of a particular instrument.
